Submitting to Connect Campaigns
Who can submit?
Connect Campaigns are not only open to submissions from academic researchers at universities, but also to researchers at institutes including hospitals, charities and government agencies, as well as biotechs and physical science companies looking to out-license their technologies and expertise.
Submission process step-by-step
There are two types of Connect Campaign that you can submit opportunities to, 1) an Industry Call for Opportunities (ICO), and 2) a Request for Proposals (RFP). The majority of our campaigns are ICOs. For these we accept submissions that fall under one of six categories, which are described in detail in our top tips for writing Connect Campaigns submissions article. ICO submissions require a brief 200-300 word summary plus any relevant attachments, whereas RFP campaigns involve outlining a project proposal via completed submission form.
Submitting opportunities to a Connect Campaign couldn't be easier! Just follow the step-by-step process below:
1. Create a free account on our network
This will grant you access to your submissions dashboard where you can view live campaigns as well as monitor the progress of your submissions.
2. Submit your opportunities
The contents of your submission will depend largely on the type of campaign and brief set by the company running the campaign.
3. Track your submissions
Monitor the progress of your submissions through your personalised online dashboard. We'll also send you email alerts for new campaigns.
Once the campaign has closed to submissions, the company will then spend on average 6-8 weeks analysing this report and creating a list of the submissions they would like to connect with, as well as any feedback as appropriate.
4. Receive industry engagement
If the company running the campaign believes that the opportunity(ies) that you submitted match their requirements, they can request an introduction and/or leave feedback. On average, companies running Connect Campaigns initiate introductions with 15% of the opportunities submitted to each campaign.
We don't take any finders or success fees and all collaborations are discussed exclusively between you and the potential partner, with the support of your institute as required.
Please contact campaigns@inpart.io if you have any queries about a live Campaign or for support with your submission.
Researcher success stories
“Inpart has been really useful in terms of networking and progressing our technology's development. We are closer to market for specific applications of our technology because of the partnerships we have formed through Inpart.” - Kirsty Smitten PhD, Researcher at the University of Sheffield and MetalloBio Co-founder
“We were looking for more innovative ways to find funding. Inpart helped us get a lot of feedback on our new asset in a very short amount of time, including interest from top 5 pharma companies. The feedback reassured us that we were on the right track and we could provide updates in real-time using the platform, instead of waiting for next year's conference.” - Rajika Perrera, Founder of Poseidon Laboratory
“Inpart provides us with a convenient, centralised stream of funding and collaboration opportunities, helping our team showcase our institute's excellent research and expertise.” - Dr. Qing Liu-Michael, Program Director at the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research

Types of campaign
There are two types of Connect Campaign that you can launch - Industry Call for Opportunities (ICOs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs). The diagram below illustrates the types of opportunities that you can gain access to through these campaign types.
What the campaign process looks like for companies
Below is an overview of how the campaign process works:
Here is a more in-depth breakdown of the campaign process:
1. Requirements identification
Identify your areas of R&D interest:
- Research interests, priorities and development stage
- Jurisdictions of interest
- Run your call anonymously or openly
2. Campaign creation
Inpart uses the requirements capture form, alongside an initial call to confirm campaign focus, to build a campaign one-pager, using industry best practices. This one-pager is then disseminated to Inpart’s global network of universities and biotechs.
3. Campaign dissemination
ICO/RFP is disseminated to a global network of university teams and biotech companies via the following channels:
- TTO dashboard (subscribed network of 250+ institutes)
- Academic portal (extended network of 2600+ academic and research institutes)
- Direct engagement by Inpart research team to find best matches
- Online and email submissions
4. Campaign assessment
Responses are collated into an actionable report and added to Inpart Deal for efficient triaging of the results.
- Interactive dashboard
- Easy collaboration tools filtered for your requirements
5. Introductions
Request introductions to the teams behind the opportunities and bring new science to life!
Company client testimonials
"Connect Campaigns has allowed us to identify new research partners which we would not have otherwise considered. One of the more valuable parts of the process has been that the partners made a reference to unpublished observations which matched our requirements, leading to in-depth conversations for early work under NDA." - Technology manager at Global Chemicals Company
“Thanks to Inpart we started conversations with Johns Hopkins University, the University of Pittsburgh, and the University of California San Diego, our company is about to enter into a CDA with the University of Southern California and are waiting for a draft CDA from Vanderbilt University, as well.” - Head of Partnering and Search at Global Pharmaceutical Company
“Inpart showed us that we don’t know our network as well as we thought we did! The professional and responsive team are a joy to work with and we would be happy to use them again.” - Associate Director, Immunology Partnering at UCB Pharma
